The Studio offers the finest in Pilates private, semi-private and group instruction, featuring the specialized, state of the art equipment designed by Joseph Pilates, Vinyasa Yoga, inspired by the Ashtanga, Iyengar and Kundalini schools, and Waking Energy, Jennifer’s unique synthesis of energizing Chi-Gong, the 5 Tibetans and Yin Yoga.

Pilates One-on-One Training
Lengthen and strengthen all of the muscles of your body in a one-on-one session that is tailored to suit your needs. Enhance your flexibility and build exceptional core strength utilizing highly specialized equipment designed by Joseph Pilates. Rehabilitate or strength train. Superlative pre and post-natal conditioning. Remarkably effective in the treatment of scoliosis and other physical injuries and imbalances. Working on Pilates equipment is both empowering and inspiring, and results are immediate!

Pilates Philosophy and Benefits
Pilates exercises make people more aware of their bodies. It helps to improve alignment and breathing and increases efficiency of movement. The focus is on the center of the body—the “powerhouse,” or the “corset muscles,” also known as the stabilizing core muscles of the torso, which support the spine. The beauty of the technique is that you can do it according to your own fitness level and as you gain strength, the challenge increases. Pilates exercises are gentle, progressive, and performed slowly with good postural alignment at all times; challenging enough for the super-fit, yes, but also gentle enough for pregnant women and the elderly. 
On a spiritual level, the workout is concerned with the process itself. You learn to focus on the present moment and the movement itself rather than the outcome. This is a workout, a regime similar to yoga that promotes consciousness and facilitates evolution and self-transformation. 
The subtle magic of Pilates is that the work grows as you do. You rise to higher and higher levels as your self-awareness and experience deepen. As you gain insight and as your actual physical strength increases, the work refines and redefines itself. Private Training Modalities
The classical Mat work conditioning regime created by Joseph Pilates that builds unmatched core strength and enhances flexibility of body and mind. Learn to workout smarter, rather than harder; sculpt your body with the fewest repetitions and the greatest focus and control. The emphasis on “core muscles” (i.e.. abdominals, back extensors, shoulder stabilizers, and buttocks) can improve posture and reduce back pain. Other benefits range from increased muscle tone and flexibility, deepening of breathing patterns, enhanced body awareness, and increased efficiency of movement. We occasionally incorporate the “Pilates Toys”— Magic Circle, Sculpting Series and PhysioBall in our group mat for added challenge and variety. 
Heating, stimulating, grounding, flexibility-enhancing vinyasa (flow style, Hatha) yoga incorporating influences from several schools: Ashtanga, Iyengar and Kundalini. Strengthen your entire body, as you expand your lung capacity and deepen your internal awareness. Practice asanas that integrate breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength and flexibility as you learn to still your mind and create a deep sense of peace and calm.
Yin Yoga
Open and stimulate your body’s meridian system and increase your range of motion as you calm your mind with this deeply restorative and revitalizing class. Long-held stretching poses encourage your body’s deep connective tissues to literally melt, restoring youthful joint mobility and ease of movement. Liberate chronic holding patterns and restriction in the body and the mind for an unparalleled feeling of internal freedom and peace. Then conclude your practice and go even deeper into your inner world with a calming, centering meditation practice.
Waking Energy
The all-new age-defying, immune-boosting, revitalizing synthesis that combines Chi-Gong, the 5 Tibetans and Yin Yoga. Learn the seamless flow … Enliven and awaken your chi with soothing self-massage and spine mobilization exercises as you learn to access your own energy resources and harness the energy that surrounds you. Then move on to the “Rites of Rejuvenation,” the ancient longevity secret from Tibet and gather your energy with long-held, deeply relaxing stretching poses. Energize, harmonize and balance your body’s meridian and chakra systems for increased vitality and total well-being.
